Import Buyer and Domestic Metal Buyer Role

• Manage Import Suppliers
• Send out RFQ/RFP
• Roll up costs, and maintain file to support history.
• Calculate freight to apply to product cost.
• Manage freight related to product purchased.
• Negotiate with freight forwarders.
• Analyze vendor costs and make recommendations of what is core competency of each vendor.
• Be the conduit to resolve engineering issues between vendors and our engineering department.
• Need to understand entire supply chain and be willing to cross responsibility lines to assist in making sure our customer is satisfied.
• Review reports (e.g. Time phase) to insure supply chain is balanced with demand and bring to attention items that need to reviewed.

Production Planner Role

• Maintain Item Master Maintenance.
• Enter Jobs for all direct retail customers and eventually will be all customers
• Develop with engineering part number discipline.
• Enter Bills of Materials to attach to jobs.
• Assist in developing process and maintain integrity of BOM associated with Jobs.
• Assist in further developing process and procedures for inventory management and purchasing.
• Work with operations manager to make inventory transactions related to job completion to allow consumption of subcomponents from inventory.
• Take lead in cleaning up part numbers in Cut rite to match Vantage item master.
• Enter material lists to jobs.
• Issue materials to jobs.
• Review Time Phase to make sure jobs have supply and demand balanced.
• Review all open production to make maintain system integrity.

• Work with Business Process Director to develop process and procedures

Quality Assurance Administrator Role

• QA of items purchased by yourself
• Assemble and form fit and function check as necessary
• Provide assistance/guidance to floor personnel to assembly of production of items purchased.
• Travel to suppliers to inspect in process conformity to product details and timeline.

• Must have hands on experience as a Manager for a Wood Store Fixture Manufacturer.
• Should have 5+ years as a supervisor and 7+ years overall in a Wood Store Fixture Manufacturing environment.
• Should have experience in most Wood Manufacturing equipment and materials including: CNC Point to Point, MDF, Melamine, Solids, Plywood, Chop, Moulders, Double End Tennoners, Saws, etc. and Numerous Wood Species.
• The successful candidate will be a real “go getter” that can make things happen without a lot of direction.

We are seeking a hands-on candidate that would be interested in helping a very well established and financially sound Wood Products Manufacturer in the Southeast U.S. start up a new Upholstery Division. Again, this is a start-up Division and you will be very hands-on involved with every aspect of Upholstered Furniture. They want to start and grow this division so this will be a long term (permanent) position within the company. Compensation is negotiable with good benefits and relocation if needed.

Experience with Woodworking Machinery a must: CNC routers, dual head, CNC Biesse Point to point, CNC Programmable v Groover, CNC Selco panel saws, Veneer line with Heeseman sanders, Kuper splicer.

3d Solidworks based engineering experience a plus.
Strong Lean Manufacturing Practices, Throughput, Quality Control, etc. (Any and all World Class Manufacturing experience is a big plus.)
Experience with ISO9000 a plus.

The right candidate would have to have all the normal attributes and skills of a good Finish Manager, but Chinese business requires some additional skills. With that is mind, exposure or experience working in China would again be a plus.

Experience in High End Architectural Woodwork/ Millwork, Store Fixtures and/or Cabinets a must.
Experience with ISO9000 and other World Class Manufacturing Process a big plus.

• Proficient computer understand to include spreadsheets, document tracking, accounting and office management.
• Track and maintain all correspondence and be able to well within a team environment.
• Microvellum /AutoCAD Experience.
• Broad technical or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.

Will Supervise around 20+ hourly employees and report to the Plant Manager.

Experience with Woodworking Machinery a must: CNC, Panel Saws,
Chop, Rip Saw, etc.

“MUST be very strong in CNC.”

Cut Rite experience a plus.

Will supervisor about 30, day shift, over production, safety, training, quality, and daily record keeping. Prefer someone with supervisory experience of at least 5 years
