The quality control engineer will work with internal manufacturing, C/S, materials and engineering departments as well as with our suppliers in the development and enforcement of specifications and drawings for production materials. All product testing and reporting will also be completed through the quality control engineer including physical testing and CAL 133 testing. The QC engineer will focus on the full production life cycle from supplier inspections through customer acceptance of delivered product including warranty service and reporting.
QC Engineer tasks:
• Set up incoming inspection and supplier inspection on key component dimensions.
• Develop drawings and product specs for use in inspections
• Set up and monitor process inspections
• Assist in process improvements and plant layout to facilitate quality in production
• Recommend corrective actions on components found to be out of spec
• Collaborate with management to implement plant quality procedures
• Work with suppliers to monitor their quality order by order basis to reduce in house inspections.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years experience in a quality engineer role in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of QC processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
• Office Furniture (Wood or Metal)
• Solid works drafting experience a plus
• 6 sigma training and experience a plus
• Lean manufacturing experience
